About me

Dr. Ahava Chanti is a psychiatrist, musician, and wellness educator based in Hudson Valley, New York. Her work explores the powerful intersection of music, neuroscience, and emotional healing, offering audiences and listeners a unique approach to restoring balance in an increasingly fast-paced world. Raised in the American South, Ahava experienced profound loss early in life after the passing of her mother when she was just six years old. She was raised by her grandmother, whose strength and resilience helped shape the path she would later follow. During those early years, music became a refuge: a place where she could process emotions, find stillness, and reconnect with a sense of inner calm. That early relationship with music stayed with her as she pursued a career in medicine. As a psychiatrist, Ahava has spent years caring for individuals experiencing stress, trauma, burnout, and emotional pain. Through this work, she began to reflect deeply on how people restore their own nervous systems while navigating the pressures of modern life. Once again, she found herself returning to music. Drawing from both personal experience and scientific curiosity, Ahava began exploring how sound influences emotional regulation and the human nervous system. Her music blends soulful instrumentation, meditative soundscapes, and elements of sound healing to create immersive listening experiences designed to help the body shift from tension toward calm. Her upcoming album, Grounded Elevations, reflects this vision. Inspired by her work supporting individuals through emotional challenges, the project offers a meditative sound journey that encourages listeners to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with themselves.
